No Technical Support, Appears Not To Be A Real Business, Just A Family With A Website, No Ability To Provide Technical Support

I purchased a Pro site from this company, because I am satisfied that selling self-help ebooks online on my own site is no different from a bookstore selling self-help books which it receives from outside publishers. Neither the publishers nor the bookstore are scamming anyone. MyProductCenter is the publisher; I am the seller. The people who call this a pyramid scheme have no idea what a pyramid scheme is. I am not trying to sell the same site to anyone else. I am selling the final product, the ebooks. If I do not sell the ebooks, that is not the publisher's fault, unless it fails to provide basic services that are needed to facilitate the selling process, which is where I do have a problem with them.

I have not had some of the more outrageous experiences reported against this company. No one has asked me to pay thousands of dollars for anything, but that must be part of the coaching service that I have not asked for. My site has always been up and running, and the glitches that occurred were corrected, although only after several phone calls. The glitches were strictly related to their own page settings, so they had no trouble fixing them when I kept calling about it.

However, I recently changed my site's name and I want to change my original url to match the new name (Google notified me of a tradename issue with my original url choice). I have verified that the new name has no tradename issues, so I am anxious to get the url changed to match it asap. I have emailed and phoned them for over a month now, with no result. Always, someone just takes my information and request and promises to get back to me. No one ever emails or calls me. It is clear that this kind of request is beyond their capabilities, which means that there is no real technical support there at all. They are probably only an affiliate of another source company themselves, with no access to the technical capability to make the change that I need.

The company could avoid this problem in the future by warning customers to check for tradename violations before choosing a site name. Of course, they also need to provide a good link to a suitable site for doing the name check.

In the meantime, my problem needs to be fixed. Civil suits do not bother these kinds of "businesses." I have warned them that they are at risk of criminal prosecution in the State of Ohio for fraudulent misrepresentation, receiving monies under false pretenses, and theft by conversion. I am amazed that they seem to be so willing to take such a risk. It can only mean that they would have to pay another company a lot of money to change my url, and they do not have the resources to do it.

Although MyProductCenter is not a pyramid scheme, nor is its product a scam in itself, their after-sale business practices make it a scam. The people who have made money with their site are simply lucky that they have not had the kind of problem that I have. The site works only if it needs no changes once it is set up. Since this is not clearly stated in the sales pitch, the promoters are committing fraud. If they make the change to my url that I am requesting, I will be happy to state that here, too, but after so many requests, it seems highly unlikely.
