I filed a complaint with PayPal over a bootleg DVD I received from jfsales51 through the www.ecrater.com platform. They "resolved" it in less than 90 minutes, so I called.
Laurie from PayPal informed me that I am only protected if I make a purchase from eBay, and eBay only. I have no recourse if I purchase anything from any other store whatsoever, unless the item does not arrive. I am closing my PayPal account and will use my charge card from now on. At least they will let me dispute it when I get ripped off.
