I work from home. My employer provides my high-speed internet service (Charter). My internet went down on a Thursday. It was not repaired until the following Tuesday. I lost 2 days of work. I sent a letter to Charter Billing department explaining this and letting them know the money I lost due to not being able to work.
I filed for unemployment and was denied because they stated I was "Unavailable for work." I was only unavailable because Charter couldn't figure out what the problem was. They will not reimburse me for my 2 days of missed pay. I feel since it is their internet service, and I had to wait so long to have it repaired, they should pay me for my lost time.
