This year we were contacted by Target Point Media to run a campaign, in which we would generate education leads for a school they represented (I won't name the school as they have been very helpful to us in recovering our money, but alas, Target Point Media refuses all calls and emails).
We ran the campaign for 3 months and generated $30,000 in invoices, an amount confirmed by Target Point that they owed and would pay.in this business we deal on net terms so it is not unusual to get paid months after the business occured. When it came time to follow up on our payment, no one would get back to us. Our account rep was Martin Stone, and he went awol as soon as it was time to collect. I called 40 times and got the secretary each time, she told me that the CFO, Gary Scheib, had broken his back and would be out for the week. Weeks went by and he still couldn't answer his emails or calls because of his supposed injury. Attempts to contact the CEO/Owner Tom Rogers were fruitless as well.
I contacted the school and sure enough they paid Target Point Media for the 3 months of lead generation we supplied, and Target Point Media kept all of the money, and refused our calls and emails.
Target Point Media is full of crooks, and the biggest crook, Tom Rogers, needs to be put in jail. I have spoken to many other companies who have been scammed by him and his company, it's amazing he's not in jail, where he belongs. They are out of Coral Gables, Florida. We have had other issues with companies like Target Point and they have all resided in Florida. Apparently that is a mecca for scam companies like Target Point Media. Hopefully one day Tom Rogers will get what he deserves; jail time.
