I order routinely from the internet. I recently tried a new company for supplies. I placed a very modest $65 order on July 4. On July 10 Lotion Town contacted me informing me my order had been shipped and provided a USPS tracking number.
This is the verbiage in their email:
"... You can always find out the current status of your order by going to
Https://order. Store. Yahoo.net/OS/stat? Yhst-49830..."
This link takes you to USPS tracking number 01038555749805241513.
After a few days I tracked the number and to my surprise the post office indicated they never received the package. I contacted Lotion Town and asked for an explanation. They explained
"Because, this is actually a confirmation # and not a tracking # and does not normally get scanned until it reaches it's destination. Thanks"
I saw this a nonsense right away. I contacted the post office who confirmed it was smoke and mirrors. The truth is that a label was printed but never mailed. At this point I again contacted Lotion Town and asked them to explain. The Reply I received: "I already did".
I purchased on a CC and told Lotion Town if they did not provide me with overnight shipping immediately I would dispute the charge. They in fact never replied. I disputed the charge and have received credit from the bank.
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I have since found a link to a law suit in Indiana. Http://www.in. Gov/attorneygeneral/press/Release. LotionTown. Lawsuit.html
My Lesson re-enforced. Do your research prior to ordering on the internet. 2) use your CC not a debit card.
