I responded to a TV ad for eco canteen. They offerred a stainless steel canteen, a child size canteen and a free insulated tote for each for $9.99. When I went to the web site this offer was not available.
I decided to get the canteen since it was only $9.99 and I had seen it at a friend's house. I decided that I wanted 2.
When finishing the order I found that the shipping and handlling was $5.95 for the canteens and $4.95 for the totes. I thought that a little high but withiin reason. No place did it say it was for each item.
When the order was accepted the total was $31.88 for the canteens and $9.90 for the totes. I was being charged $21.80 for shipping and handling for 2 featherweight canteens and 2 very very light totes!
My $19.98 canteens with free totes would cost $21.80 to ship!
I fired off an email to the company and said "4 to 6 weeks delivery time for $21.80?? Can we say rip-off?"
I received the canteens in a little more than a week! Yes, I do want the canteens but I am very tired of being ripped off! It cannot have cost $21.80 to pull these items off the shelf, put them in a padded envelope and ship them by the post office!!
