Med In America, Inc., is an internet-based company selling uniforms, shoes, etc., for the medical/dental profession. At the beginning of May, I purchased a pair of shoes which didn't fit properly. I promptly returned them to the manufacturer in Oregon after getting a "return authorization number" from Med In America, owned by Ron Kochlany. He is a middle-man and seemingly runs a one-man show. He is the one who has to issue the credit, not the manufacturer.
The products are shipped from them (in Oregon) and must be returned to them. Med In America is operated out of Miami Beach area and probably has sources all over the country. I waited a week after shoes were received in Oregon and no credit appeared. I called Mr. Kochlany who denied it was him I had reached. I immediately called the same number again and, surprise, it went directly to voice mail. I left a message and he called me the next day. Said the credit was done "15 minutes ago". I'm still waiting.
He has his money, the manufacturer has their money and I'm out $20.00 for the return shipment plus the cost of the shoes.
This guy seems to have a problem being up front and honest. Why would any business person want to stiff a customer for $65.00?? This, coupled with his lying, prompted me to write this report, something I have never had to do before now. According to the internet, Kochlany has his fingers in many pots. For one, he's a real estate broker at Sobe Realty, Inc., in Miami Beach. Would you want to trust him with your most important investment when he won't even refund $65.00? I hope not.
