My son cancelled his AOL online account in February... He is still being charged monthly fees. Today, he re-cancelled his account and also has contacted his bank to ensure that no more fees are paid to AOL. This service will cost him, also.
Of course, if he wants to be refunded, he'll need to spend untold amounts of time on hold and speaking to customer service reps that apparently have been trained to assure frustrated customers that their accounts have been cancelled, when in fact the billings continue.
We have no faith that AOL will ever return the fees they have stolen, therefore we're probably going to let it go.
