We received pop up messages on our computer stating our computer was in danger of viruses, and to fix this problem we could purchase virus protection through this software company. After looking through all the different option of protection to buy, we did purchase one.
This company has symbols and seals on their website making you believe they are legitimate. They also show what potential viruses are there trying to invade your computer.
After you purchase the software they send an email with activation information. They only thing I didn't realize is their confirmation page has no contact information, but a lot of other false and untrue statements.
My account was charged the $49.95 and $1.50 fee, but no software. This company is very convincing and does the process just like other legitimate companies do. It is a complete and utter shame there are people out their taking advantage of others who are just trying to protect their investments. What is this world turning into?
