When I purchased my computer I had 6 months of free AOL. On March 11 I recieved an e-mail from aol saying they were billing me for hourly service, ($ 328.95) This was 2 days after they tried to take the money from my acct. I called and talked to several people who said they showed the 6 months free until May.
But that at some time my acct was switched to hourly. I told them that was'nt possible why would I pay hourly when I had free service. They decided to offer me an extra 2 months free. I told them I wanted to close the acct. And would not pay the bill.
They have since tried to deduct the amount from my acct, overdrawing me in the amount of 250.00. They are'nt even authorized to put it through as a check, they were only authorized to take it off my credit card. I am a disabled woman and now I have to close my bank account because they keep overdrawing it, and thats where my disability check gets deposited.
I can't believe that a company can get away with this kind of cheap fraud. I hope people will think twice before ever getting involved with aol.
