I just ordered an item, which was clearly marked "free shipping." When I received the invoice, I was being chaged for shipping.
You can't call them, they have a web form and will call you back. Call back was quick and the caller was appropriately apologetic, and said they would credit me with "A ONE-TIME EXCEPTION AND CREDIT FOR SHIPPING."
The Amazon caller then went on to explain that I used one-click ordering and that was the reason I was charged shipping. (Because I opted for standard shipping instead of free shipping.)
Hello — I was not given the option to opt for standard shipping (or any other kind of shipping)
After a LOOOONG wait, I was connected to a supervisor to discuss the entrapment and suggest that they SHOULD clearly post on the web site that one-click ordering voids "free shipping" offers.
The supervisor said that "he would submit a trouble ticket."
I'm betting they have had numerous complaints, because nobody was surprised. I INSISTED that they email me, WHEN they have either fixed the problem - or posted the entrapment notice on their web pages.
I will post a comment on this report, IF-AND-WHEN they notify me, and I can see the fix.
