First, I never heard of MyInfoGuard until outrage charges appeared on my last couple of phone bills. I contacted AT&T and was advised that I should call AT&T's Enhanced Billing number. I called the Enhanced Billing number and was told that I supposedly signed up on the internet for MyInfoGuard sometime during the month of Sept. 2007 and remained active through Novemer 2008; and, that I had been assigned a long distance (888) phone number.
In my review of ALL my internet records and/or transactions, I am absolutely sure that I never signed up for any service provided by MyInfoGuard via the internet or otherwise.
At this time, I am in the process of cross referencing and documenting all of the information/activities that I have and can further obtain about the unscrupulous activities and as well as methods used by MyInfoGuard to RIP-OFF unsuspecting individuals. Within the next couple of days, I also will be sending a certified letter to MyFoGuard (plus CC's to state and federal level officials) detailing this HORRIFIC SCAM and ATT&T's culpability.
