I just bought a 3 day trial download pass (from Megadownload.com) for a couple of dollars (maybe 4 or 5) to get some piece of software. They turned out to only send me a bit torrent. I did not receive any infomation about how to contact them or cancel the subscription
When I looked at my credit card transaction overview in january, a total of more than 70 euros appeared to have been taken from my ING Mastercard account, divided into six transactions for lower amounts by lookupmybill.com. This month, another almost 70 euros was taken from my account, divided into 3 transactions.
I contacted the credit card fraud squad (yeah right) of my bank, where I was told that they could do nothing about it since I had given the credit card number myself and they could not see what I had agreed to. They would not even cancel the obviously fraudulous transactions for me.
Now that I have found the website of Lookupmybill
Only one solution remained: had my Mastercard blocked, cut it in two pieces and sent it back to ING.
