My story is with YourTopBrands.com but we've all seen them and thought, hey, what IF it is real, right? I could really use the money right now. I'd be interested in some of these items that have for sale anyway and I'll get more back than I've invested! Well, you do your part and then you file your papers... Then you wait. Then you wait. Then you contact them and they say they are behind, even give you a date (which is a year in the future). Well this date rolls around and you are still waiting.
Then miraculously you get a letter, you're excited! You read on and WHAM! They get you. They offer you an option... Why don't YOU go purchase it, and we'll send you a check, yeah, that's the ticket. They even use the original amount of time you would have gotten the visa card in! Some people will fall for it, but common sense tells me, here we go again! This letter isn't even from them, it's from another company called "MPell" they through the word solutions in after it to make you think they have come up with a solution to your problem.
Now the paper you sign to agree to this from YourTopBrands.com says "YourTopBrands reserves the right to substitute my gift with equal or greater value depending on the availability of the original gift"
The paper from MPELL says "By participating in this promotion, recipient releases and hold harmless MPELL and it's affiliates from any liability".
DO NOT SIGN THIS PAPER! Do not buy your own card! We must unite and do something about this, it's not just yourtopbrands, there are many other companies out there doing the same thing.
I have yet to find a way to get help without spending more money, but maybe if we gather together, we can get a class action suit.
