The office I work in was charged $289.00 for a toner we did not order. The invoice they sent said that the order was "Verbal" because they talked to one of our receptionists on the phone. The receptionist had no idea who they were and did not order anything. She did not even had the authority to order anything. What we are going to do is refuse the package when it comes and demand our refund.
These people are slick. What they do is call and ask about what type of printer, fax, or copier you have. They usually pretend to be from an authoritative source. They have lists of copier locations, points of contact for each copier, etc. Once they have the info, they will bill you a huge bill on something you did not order.
