Fred Attacks IsItReal Autograph Site
"Fred" from Philadelphia Attacks IsItReal Autograph Site

There is a web site that makes genuine attempts to help collectors of autographs AVOID the ever growing world of autograph forgeries. It has literally become an epidemic in the autograph industry with collectors being scammed by sophisticated autograph forgers.

One web site that is really the first to uncover some of these forgery operations is the site www.isitreal.com. This site hosts a forum where many collectors both experienced and inexperienced post their opinions on certain eBay sellers and also highly suspect autograph dealers. And, not just questionable dealer but dealers that have an enormous track record of consistent forgeries.

Last month Fred from Philadelphia went on the attack against this web site, in particular attacking certain posters. I ask Fred one question. What if tyou were more specific and gave us some examples of your outrage? Why not provide some specific examples and let's dissect the analysis.

Why Fred are you so emotional over one poster in the forum? Did he/she hit a particular nerve. I guess we can spew a generic attack but it sure would be helpful to know exactly WHAT posting in the forum you question.in other words, what exactly was is that forgerywatch said that you question? It is a matter of an inaccurate analysis on his/her part or is it merely that you disapprove of a certain unscrupulous autograph dealer being uncovered for collectors before that dealer continues scamming collectors. You ask WHY don't posters provide their contact information? Maybe I could shed some light on that. If I am an autograph forger selling massive forgeries on a web site and someone questions my scam, what do you think my reaction will be? Attack! No matter if that person has a legitimate complaint. Think about it, what really would be the disposition of a dishonest person who is reduced to committing a criminal act to make a living, i.E. Selling forgeries. WHY would anyone want to engage on that level when a rational response would be highly unlikely, if not impossible?

So Fred give us some examples and maybe we can offer some analysis. As the old adage, Don't shoot the messenger, without deeply analyzing the message. Remember this site is to help people form gettign scammed, it's not a place to attack anyone. I can assure you, the evidence has to be overwhelming before a complaint is made.
