Rolf Ramseier and Markus Brandes are both Autograph Dealers in Europe. They started an autograph "opinion and reference service" which in my opinion was established under false pretenses. The name of the site is " Isitreal.com ". They indicate that their purpose is to evaluate autographs in a forum for dealers and collectors.
The problem is that these guys are marketing their own autographs on this site! They send private emails to people who use the site in order to get them to buy their autographs and publicly try to push their autograph merchandise to people who write into the site to question other dealer's autographs. Obviously Brandes and Ramseier indicate that "THEIR" autographs are REAL and almost every other dealer and Ebay seller has forged autographs! So who is monitoring Brandes and Ramseier?
I have sent questions to their forum regarding their objectivity which they refuse to print.in addition-no one writing on the forum has their real name-except for the two owners. So we have cowards like one joker named-"forgerywatch" who regular takes pot shots at Ebay listers and he hides behind a false user name.
In doing my research to buy an autographed Beatles item - I've done allot of reading on this site. This site is completely filled with venonmous "attacks" on dealers by "forgerywatch". Who is this bitter person? And why does he take up most of the forum attacking other people? I thought this forum was for educational purposes¬ for this type of immature grandstanding and personal ad hominym attacks. We know nothing about his credentials and do not know if Kevin (the name he uses) is a dealer!
"Forgerywatch" hides behind a user name and attacks other Ebay listers and websites." Is It Real" is a good idea-but I believe that Senator Joe McCarthy would really enjoy being a member of this so-called "forum". A forum is supposed to be an exchange of ideas-not a monopilization of condemnations from a "soapbox" preacher who is too cowardly to put his real name on the forum. I am more than willing to exchange my name, phone number and address with "forgerywatch". By the tone of his emails-he is probably too cowardly to take me up on my offer. Obviously the site should require that everyone post their real name and contact information... This would add so much credibility to the site!
"Is It Real.com" should realize that although "forgerywatch"'s rantings and ravings take up space on the site thus giving a false credibility to the site&it only serves to turn the average autograph collector OFF!
I also find it cheesy that in a purportedly "Objective" Opinion & Reference Service-both Rolf and Marcus are attempting to "push" their products thru private emails and public solicitations on the blog. While "forgerywatch" rants on about "policing the autograph business" on your site—who is "policing" Marcus and Rolf at "isitreal.com".
They also censor who is being attacked. I have sent in a thread questioning an officer of the UACC. Rolf refused to print it although it was not slanderous.
Please note that I am not an autograph dealer nor ebay lister. I am a collector!!!
