I hired Akron Web Designs to finish a website that was already designed, just needed a content management system installed and some touch up. Milton (Bud) Daniel Reed quoted me 10 days for completion. We signed a written contract and I paid a hefty deposit. After 30 days, the CMS was not installed, (they actually damaged the program) and had not completed even one page of text correctly.
Akron Web Designs is just a sales company. He does not do any technical or design work himself, nor is he qualified to do so. All work is farmed out. During the month in question, the tech guy he was using emailed me that he was so frustrated with Reed that he would never work with him again.
I asked for my money back and Reed refused. He said I should pay him for his time, whether or not I liked any of his work. As nothing was completed, I obviously didn't like his work and have taken him to court. He did not show up at the hearing, so the court will issue a bench warrant for his arrest.
