I ordered a pirate costume from Doxy Lingerie on November 6th. I needed it for a Pirate Party at my work (which we are required to dress up for) on November 22nd. To ensure that I received it on time I even paid extra for 2 days shipping. According to their website all of the items I ordered were in stock and would ship out in 1-2 business days.
On November 19th I still had not received anything and the status of my order said "Will Ship Within 24 Hours." That is the same message it had since a few days after I placed the order.
Here it is December 4th, I still have not received anything from this company. They charged my account $84 almost a month ago. I had to pay another $70 out of pocket to purchase a different costume so I wouldn't get in trouble at work for not dressing up. I have sent them multiple emails asking for my money back and even informing them that I will contact the Better Business Bureau. Their only response has been to send me an Order Confirmation showing my order would "Ship Within 24 Hours."
I began asking girls at work if they had ever ordered from this company and to my shock and awe 6 different girls said that they had the exact same problem with this company! Several of them had ordered Halloween costumes, which they never received. When they pressed the issue, the company told them that the items were out of stock and all they would receive was store credit. See where this is going? According to all the girls I have spoken to, not a single one has received the items they attempted to purchase with their "store credit."
Another way this company tries to screw you over is by placing a nice little logo on their website that says "Authorize.net Verified Merchant". Click on this logo and it will take you to the Authorize.net website WHICH TELLS YOU THAT THIS IS NOT AN AUTHORIZED MERCHANT!!! I sent an email to Authorize.net informing them that this company is using their logo unlawfully.
I simply don't understand how one company can steal from so many people and get away with it!
Do not order anything from this company! They will steal your money (and get even more out of you if you decide to upgrade your shipping like I did) and never deliver any of the products you order! Tell everyone you know! Don't let this happen to you or any of your friends!
