During June I rented a property I own. I wanted "Intell" on The prospective tenant. I was able to purchase said info from Intelius. Within 1 month I was charged 19.95 for a credit report that I didn't request. I filed a complaint with my CC carrier and they reversed the charges on my complaint.
A month later Intelius rebilled me for the reversal and then charged me another 19.95 for another family safety report. Again I filed with my CC carrier and they took care of the situation. I also was able to contact Intelius by Telephone and after conversing with a Customer Care rep. I was told they would no longer charge my CC but, I was banned forever from their website. No problem, I now know how they get their info for their database.
Much to my surprise a month later I start to be charged 19.95 by another unauthorized person or company, AP9. Again I had my CC carrier reversed the charges. This time though AP9 has ignored my emails and continues to charge me again w/o my authorization for a service that I know nothing of.
At present this is back and forth every month. Recently then I closed that bank card down and they won't be able to access my funds. At least for the time being. So reading the threads here it seems as though there is an association between Intelius and AP9. What exactly is it? Further research also concerns me because it also seems as though classmates.com and thus Reunion.com have some connection here. I've utilized both of those sites in the past for my class reunions and to keep in touch with "old Friends" Some I'm really concerned.
Currently I've filed a complaint with my local Law enforcement about AP9 and Intelius. I'm also preparing to file with my States AG and consumer protection agency. Anyone else have info on what binds all these companies together? Any other input? I'm taking these companies down. This has become a mission for me.
