I authorized the use of my credit card over the internet for a trial bottle of AcaiBerry dietary supplement for a shipping fee of $3.95 only. When the trial bottle arrived, there was no return address, but there was a note inside that said that if I don't call 1-877-350-8480 and cancel within 14 days, that they would automatically charge my credit card $89.31 for a month's supply, and continue every month thereafter until I call and cancel. I called immediately, and was put on hold, after an hour of being on hold, I hung up and dialed again with the same result.
I called at least twice a day for the following few days, and was always put on hold, never reaching a live person. I looked at the credit card and saw the charge of $89.31 three (3) days after receiving the product. I immediately called the credit card company and disputed the charge. I was advised to either put the credit card on hold or cancel it and receive a new number, which I did. I still try to call the number 1-877-350-8480, but haven't made contact with anything but being placed on hold. This is a company that Oprah's name has been associated with.
