Reservations Rewards

There was a mystery charge on my account for $12. Going through my e-mails I found an e-mail from a company "reservation rewards" (the same name that showed on my account statement with this mystery charge) thanking me for my membership to "Reservation Rewards". Never heard of them, don't recall ever signing up for that.

Well I tracked it down to a purchase. I made my annual purchase from "Celbrations Express" for my childs Halloween costume. At the end of that order a pop-up came up with an offer to save $10 off my next purchase form this company. I declined that offer because I didn't know who "Reservation Rewards" was. Well I do now!!! When I declined my offer my e-mail address and credit card that I used for that purchase populated from my order to Resrevation Rewards.

I then had a $12 fee charged to my account. I went directly to their website, because if I had signed up for a membership I would be able to sign in, right??? Wrong! I entered my e-mail address and a password that I commonly use for fluff accounts. Couldn't sign in, so I checked my address book where I keep all of my webacounts and passwords, and as I suspected there wasn't anything for reservations rewards.

When researching this mystery charge I recieved an education on "Reservation Rewards". Not only are they scamming people with offers of "deals or discounts only they can get for you" (which by the way you can find those deals for free if you search google) but they are apparently tagging websites without the knowledge of the company whose site they are attached to.
*DO NOT HIT DECLINE* rather just close out by clicking on the little "X" in the corener of the pop-up.

You can get your money back... Just call the customer service number and speak with a representative and request your "membership" be canceled and request your money be refunded. They will gladly cancel it, but they are not too happy about you requesting your money back. Be persistant. They have to give it back!!! They don't want you going to your bank or any company that their site is attached to, so they will give it back hoping you are happy with that. Don't be, call your bank or credit card company, get a new card, call the company that got you associated to them. Most companies know that at the end of you order with them this "reservation Rewards" pop-up comes up but that is it.
