This report is in regards to Clicksmart.com and their lies-lies - lies to you the business owners.
A guy names Colton called and wanted to sell me some internet advertising. He went on and on and on about how they could bring the business into our company and people would be flocking to their website to find the best contractors and services. We were told of the thousands of hits a month that our ad would receive and all the calls that we would be receiving. We were even given a discounted rate (ha ha ha) for signing up right then. Sounds too good to be true well it is it was a lie from the very start.
We were told about how when someone is looking for a contractor they would be one of the top search results on the top search engines like Google-yahoo and so on. We heard the description of services that made us think they were a yahoo company and they were competition for other directories. Now we come to find out from a former employee that Clicksmart/Profitfuel sells the internet advertising once a directory is sold they will no longer pay per click to be at the top of the search engines. We were led to believe that if we were not pleased with their service we could cancel within 90 days. LIES LIES LIES!!! They do not have a satisfaction guarantee or a cancellation policy. They will not let us cancel and they keep charging our credit card each month.
After contacting Clicksmart and telling them about our dissatisfaction and asking to be removed from their service listing we were told NO that we agreed to their verbal agreement over the phone and they have it on tape - (but they will not produce a transcript of this) so they keep charging our Amex. I have been disputing their charges since July.
Jason refuses to show us written proof of how may hits we have had to the website and where they came from. He stated that we have had 11 phones calls since we started this and I have to disagree. I answer the phones at the business and I always ask customers where they got our name and number from and not ONCE has anyone ever said Clicksmart. They can not produce any kind of actual numbers giving you proof of the traffic flow that their website gets or how many people click on your company's name-all they provide is some crappy little page with a number and they want you to believe that.
Jason told us I do not have to back up my numbers or give you anything in writing. He is a smartass on the phone and repeats an obviously prepared speech every time we call - he even hangs up on us, SO I just keep calling him back. He has threatened to take us to court and report us to the credit agencies as well. I have called others in the Cleveland areas who are on the Clicksmart listing and they are having the same problems as us.
I want everyone to know NEVER do business with Clicksmart-they are e dishonest in their practices. I would be interested to hear from others in the Cleveland area if a class action suit is filed.
