I get an unsolicited call from a guy telling me a group of families wants to promote xy and z and they chose my company because we seem so great. I tell this schmuck that I'm not interested, sounds like a scam, yet he continues to waste 15 minutes of my time trying to prove otherwise. I told him I'd research his company and if I was interested, I'd call him back, but if I found out it was scam, I'd expose it. So here I am.
The name of this new company is PlacementToday.com They offer a toolbar that will put your business at the top of the page. When I asked "why would anyone want to install this spyware add-on to their toolbar" they said they have a deal with "familywatchdog.Us" but I don't see any info on a web brower add-on on that site. They claim 16 million users have this add-on, I'm calling that a lie, no way. Prove it with a rebuttal!
Next I try to do some research on this website. They hide the owners name in "whois", a red flag. I see it's a new website as it doesn't place #1 for their name in the search engines or show up on the "Wayback Machine" internet archives. I go to their contact page and they claim they're owned by "SDM, LLC". I go to the California Sec of State website and find that SDM, LLC is "Pending Cancel"

So who is behind PlacementToday.com? Is another Elocal or Zone Communication website? Who owns PlacementToday.com? Until they can cone on here and "come clean" on their service, I'm calling this a "rip-off" before they even rip anyone off since this seems to be a new venture by all accounts. Just my way of saying "thanks for wasting my time and calling me unsolicited" a-hole!
