I had a charge for $19.95 on my credit card statement from *J2 EFAX PLUS SERVICE* I noticed with my statement. I called the # associated with the company listed on my credit card bill. I told them I did not authorize, order, or even know what this efax was. Furthermore, I do not fax anything, if I actually did, would do it from work, I use PDF and scan and have no use for a fax service, end of story.
After being on hold for 30 minutes, she hung up on me. I called back again, now this time she tells me to send me my credit card #, expiration date, CV2 on the card and they'll be able to remove it. I told her I would give her my name and the reference # on the credit card statement. She insisted she needed my user ID, fax # or the credit card info I mentioned. Well, if I never signed up, how could I possibly have any of that? And, I'm not giving my credit card # and other information on the phone, any moron knows that.
The charge was on my 07/03/08 statement. I went to file a complaint with my cc company online just last night and notice another "pending" charge from this company for my next statement. I called them and they told me the same thing.
This company is a fraud. They should be jailed. How they got my credit information is a mystery to me because I have the card, I don't use it often and I am really pissed off!
Do not use this service and if you see it on your statement - call your cc company immediately and report them to the government!
