Antivirus 2008 - Software-payment.com
Fraudulent, tricky, fake, deceptive, dishonest, misleading, exaggerate, hoax, internet scam, unable to contact

Antivirus Software-payment.com is misleading and fraudulent. I saw the pop up window on my monitor saying that I needed to have antivirus software and that my computer may be at risk for viruses. After reading the message, I panicked and immediately purchased the Antivirus 2008 software. It's a good thing my printer broke down because I couldn't print the receipt which had the key number which allows you to download the software. I tried calling the toll free number that was on my email message after I made the purchase. There was a recording that said the wait time until my phone call would be answered was approximately 15 minutes. When my wait time was finally down to only a few minutes, my phone call was abrubtly cut off. I tried calling a second time, and the same thing happened. It was then that I realized the company was a hoax. The good news is that I did not download Antivirus but the bad news is that I paid $50. I contacted my credit card company and explained that I was ripped off by an Internet scam. They will be sending a dispute form for me to fill out so I can get the $50 credited back to my account. If you ordered from software-payment.com with your credit card, you should contact your credit card company directly and let them know you were a victim of an Internet scam. When the purchase appears on your statement, it will be listed as "billingsvc.com" instead of "software-payment.com". Software-payment.com does not have an address on their website, and no one answers the phone at their toll-free number, so it's impossible to contact them. The website has an option for you to cancel a subscription in the "Search/Cancel A Subscription" section. If you ordered from software-payment.com, I strongly suggest that you refrain from filling out the section and sending it because it asks for your credit card number. A company with integrity will not ask you for your credit number again, and my guess is that they will probably use the information to their advantage. Beware to everyone out there who sees pop ups on their monitors that tell them they should get Antivirus 2008. Ignore the messages!
