My 9 year old daughter was on my computer and ads popped, she was playing games and went to change sites and hit the autofill button by accident. I don't know what the ad was, she said it was about loans. I got an email that I applied for a membership to ID theft protection and then $31.98 was taken from my checking account. I called the number listed on my account statement and cancelled the membership and requested a refund and explained why and was told it would be fine. I then was sent an email to fill out a refund request at this web address they gave me and waited. I never received an answer. I called several times and finally got an email saying to check my refund status go to this other web address. I did and it said declined, even though I was told on the phone it would be approved because it was my child who did it. I have spent all day today trying to reach a supervisor and was put on hold every time and ignored for a 1/2 plus every time. I tried the chat option too and was once again told to call a supervisor on the phone. Yet, the refund status email was where it gave me the chat option for discussing any issues reguarding refunds! I am very upset. As far as I am concerned, ID theft protection is not at all protection, they are the ones committing theft!
