On 3/18, I bought a refurbished Samsung color laser all in one printer / fax coper / scanner from techsunny on ebay. It was supposed to be Mac compatable with all software and drivers. They overcharged for shipping and insurance. Techsunny claimed they shipped it on 3/19, but really didn't send it out until the 20th. It arrived on the 25th.

The printer arrived improperly packed and it didn't have any ofthe necessary Mac software or drivers. THere was toner spilled inside of it. I downloaded basic printer drivers from Samsung to check the machine. I got an error message on the printer; it didn't recognize that the paper tray was installed.

I e-mailed techsunny and told them I wanted a working machine with all the proper Mac drivers and software or a complete refund. Their response was: "Please get in touch with samsung techsupport guy, phone # 562 422 3636 Ask for Joe Marth. He will able to help you out how to make the porinter work." I was unable to contact Joe Marth and I found that the phone number belonged to a company that currently calls itself Koambra (they used to be Koambra Express until their corporate charter was suspended by the California Secretary of State) and the phone number also has a listing for a company called Kna Enterprise whose corporate charter is suspended by the State of California.

On 3/26, I sent another e-mail to techsunny telling them that I knew Joe Marth wasn't with Samsung and that I wasn't able to reach him. Their response: "please try to call again look for Joe or Victor, they are samsung authorise techsupport people. The have are the parts you need to get it replace. Tahnk you"

I was able to contact Joe Marth on 3/27; he told me to immediately return the printer (he sent an RMA) and that they would send out a working replacement with Samsung issued Mac software and drivers by Monday (the 31st). I know that shippers can track and verify that a return is in progress so that they can ship a replacement before they even receive the return, so I expected a prompt replacement.

Koambra received the printer on the morning of the 31st. They didn't contact me or ship a replacement. They didn't ship the replacement the next day either, so I filed a dispute and claim with Paypal. Paypal gave Techsunny 10 days to respond; I was told that if no response was received in that time, I would get my money back. Techsunny answered Paypal on the 9th day and disputed my demand for a refund. I believe (but can't prove) that they tried to claim that they didn't have the printer and that the problem was between me and Koambra.

After providing copies of all the e-mails from to and from Techsunny and Koambra as well as tracking information to prove that Techsunny's only response to me was sending me to Koambra and that Koambra has the printer, Paypal finally refunded my money today, 5/10. I was able to get all charges returned to me.

The reason I am posting this report is to warn anyone who is even thinking about buying from Techsunny to know the kind of company with which they are dealing. They overcharged on shipping (their charge was $89.00 and the retail cost is only $22.00; since they have a contract rate it is even lower). They charged about $10.00 for insurance which I bought to protect myself and they wouldn't even make good on the broken machine.

If you are having a problem with Techsunny and they try and refer you to anyone else BEWARE. Communicate only by e-mail and keep copies of all communication. If you return something, get a receipt for shipping and a tracking number and as soon as they get it, print a copy of the tracking information. Finally, if you do buy something from this company pay by credit card as it is the fastest and easies way to dispute a charge. If you don't have a credit card, use Paypal, it is harder to get a refund but it can work. Don't ever pay these guys with cash check or money order.
