2-25-08 My husband received two shipments from Scholastic books indicating he had ordered them through an online ad and that the books were charged to his American Express card. Fearing identity theft, we called AMEX who confirmed no account has been opened in his name. They sent prepaid labels for us to mail the shipments back.
3-6-08 The same thing happened, except this time it was from The Pony Book Club stating a shipment was charged to his Visa card. We called Visa who confirmed there are no accounts in his name. We had not opened the box and marked it, "return to sender." We have since contacted the postal inspector, the police and the credit reporting agencies.
