Funtonia.com seems like a legitimate website for purchasing ring tones at first glance. However, none of the ring tones actually work.
When I emailed the company to inquire about the problem, I received no response for a week or so. After I sent a few more emails, I received a generic response that completely evaded my questions on how to cancel the service and be refunded.
I did some research online and found that there are many other people who have experienced the same thing, and several websites have flagged funtonia.com as a scam.
So far I haven't noticed any illegal activity on the debit card that I used to pay for the service... But we'll see how long that lasts.
I am hoping that when I contact my bank and alert them to to this event, I will be refunded. The scammers at funtonia still have my bank and personal information, however, so I will probably end up having to do some damage control to avoid any fraudulent activity.
