My husband ordered Caroline in the City DVD box set on 12-24-07 and we have yet to receive it. They sent two emails stating that it was back ordered. The first one was sent on 1-14 saying you could request a refund but we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. Then we got the second email on 2-12 stating that it would be mailed within 5-8 business days but rest assured that we would not be charged until the item left the warehouse. UM, they charged our debit card on 12-27 for the $90.32! So that made me suspicious and discovered that we were not the only ones duped.
Their phone # is a just a voice mail and have never heard back from them except for the canned emails. I just filed a dispute with my bank so hopefully they will discover that this is a fraudalent company and credit my account back. Thank God we didn't buy more.
We should have been suspicous just for the fact that this DVD set is not available in the US as with many other much wanted DVD's so I think they take advantage of this by offering non-existent DVD's because quite frankly I don't think many people would care if it was boot-leg. They just want the item.
Anyway. Buyer beware on things that don't exist. I don't usually go through the hassle of posting a comment but this one infuriated me and hope that many more will do the same to let the public/banks/credit card companies know about this site so that people can get some retribution.
