I urge you to watch out for rockstar_paradise aka Thomas Dexter on Ebay. He sells rock and roll memorabilia, movie memorabilia, and sports cards. Unlike most people on ebay Mr. Dexter believes that it is great business policy to wait 30 days to ship an item because the FTC tells him he can.
I had an encounter with this "seller" if that is what you wish to call him. I bought a t-shirt from him. I paid within two hours of the auctions close. After a week and no merchandise I sent him an email asking him if it was on its way. He sent me an email telling me that he ran multiple businesses and to remain patient. He assured me that when my item shipped that he would send me a tracking number.
A week later and still no merchandise I asked him around when he would ship the item. He responded with a date of three days. That came and went. No communication, no merchandise, no tracking number.
On the 21st day since he received payment I sent him one final notice. I offered him a 100% rating if he could guarantee my merchandise would arrive the following day. I clearly told him that if it didn't I would report him to ebay and paypal. No response.
The next day unlike him, I kept my word. I turned him into Paypal. There policy clearly dictates that unless a seller can provide proof that they shipped an item within seven days of receiving payment they will lose there seller protection rights and a refund will automatically be rewarded to the buyer. Paypal refunded my money. I gave him a bad review on ebay.
It didn't end there. He filed a no payment strike against me on ebay (which was removed) as well as leaving negative feedback for me saying that I was "unlawful". I am currently demanding that ebay remove this review.
This came as no surprise as he leaves insulting comments to people who give him bad reviews (and those numbers are growing).
Finally he sent me a slew of insulting emails (calling me a pompous a$, deadbeat bidder, schmuck, little girl, princess, etc) and had the audacity to turn me into ebay for answering him. As I reminded him I also have copies of the emails he sent me.
In other words stay away from rockstar_paradise or as I now say, rockstar_parasite, Thomas Dexter et all. He is a rip off artist and a pain in the a$.
