There was a charge of $29.00 posted to my checking account on 1/15/08. All it says on my statement is DRI WWW ELEMENT5 INFO info DE. Since there was no order number or phone number, I googled that whole line and came up with two things: This consumer complaints site and a site that matches my bank statement (www.element5info.com).
After going through the site over and over looking for a phone number and not finding one, I went to the Customer Service links and clicked "submit question." Of course it won't let you write out your own, but instead takes you through a serious of screens with pull-down menus to select what your question is about. Finally at the end, there is a link that says something to the effect of: "none of the above links helped me with my question, what else can I do?" When I clicked that, it coughed up a page with a toll free number: (800) 406 - 4966.
I callled it right away, and got an after-business-hours answering service. I will call it back first thing tomorrow and demand that they refund my money, which is what the bank suggested I try first. If nothing can get accomplished that way, I will refer the bank to the consumer complaints website to show that this is happening to many other people as well, and demand that they credit my account with the amount stolen. I hope that this report has helped someone else, especially those who have already reported this and gotten nowhere. Good luck, everybody!
