UltimateDVDShop - Tvaddicts - WebDVD Offers TV series DVD, overcharges agreed to price, provides bogus shipping #, simply a fraud

I ordered a set of the TV series "Early Edition" DVDs from the UltimateDVDShop.com in late November. Within minutes after placing the order, my credit card company's security department contacted me to determine if I had placed an order in the amount that included the advertised price of the DVDs, a shipping fee (the ad promised free shipping) and an additional "credit card transaction fee".

I confirmed that I had placed an order but not in the amount that was being billed. I subsequently received an email from "jaz" at orders@tvaddicts. Tv giving an order number. The rapid contact by my credit card company caused me to email "jaz" back to cancel my order. When I received my credit card billing a few days later, I saw a charge by "WEBDVD 1 800 9948923" in the amount listed on the order response from tvaddicts. Tv.

I contacted my credit card to dispute the charge. A month after my initial order and subsequent email cancelation instructions, I received an email from the UltimateDVDShop that my order had been shipped, my credit card would be billed (again to WEBDVD) and was provided a Canadian Postal Service tracking number. When I checked the Canadian Postal Service tracking link, no shipment record could be found. I contacted my credit card company security department and said I would again refuse the charge.

I then contacted the UltimateDVDShop.com online customer chat where "steff" stated that they had no record of my cancellation instructions and that I had to wait for the receipt of my DVD order before a credit could be issued. I pointed out that I had an email notice of successful relay of my email order cancellation notice to their email site and had checked the Canadian Postal Service site where no record of their alleged shipment could be found. I was then told that they would coordinate with the Canadian Postal Service to "speed up" delivery of my order.

Needless to say, no DVDs have arrived over two weeks later. The changing company names, empty promises, and delaying tactics simply confirm what in my opinion is fraud. Fortunately, my credit card company has given me a credit for the amount WEBDVD billed.
