Summary from a former emp.
If you are a student looking to take classes or tracks in IT, beware! If you are in med billing/coding and are considering using New Horizons, think again.
I worked for them for appx a year, part of the time I was out sick with a medical condition. I found that management didn't mid lying to the sales staff, so staff sometimes not knowing lied to customers about expectations in order to make sales.
If you are unemployed expect them to play the "fear" card. They love to sell individuals 6,000-17,000 usd$IT tracks. They say yes you are paying so much up front, but it starts at XXX$, so you get that back in no time. They dont tell you you are not taking out a student loan, but usually a loan worse than the average bad car loan. And you do know have any of the rights a traditional student loan has.
IT and Med tracks are RUSHED to say the least. Thats not to say that some of their teaching staff is not good, but no one can plug 5 days off applications training in 3 days (I mean really). You have to have a certain quality teacher to get any of this especially in their MEd coding section. My best suggestion if you do pay the LARGE amount of money for a rush class, sit in on your teachers class, make sure he/she is worth a spit.
BOTTOM LINE. You have many options and NH is not your best. The promise a lot and deliver very little, in many cases.
