1and1.com charged me for service not rendered.
I changed payment methods and it was denied. They turned the bill over to a collection agency and did not stop the account, but the website was inactive. They continued to bill me a monthly fee even though the web site was down. I paid the collection agency their dinky monthly fee and 1and1 continued to charge me for the website even though the site was shut down (by 1and1). I called and spoke to a Customer Service rep and he was just short of a complete @$ hole to me.
Here is the deal, 1and1.com puts the contract that they can bill you until you write them a letter and close the account. However when I tried this it took almost 5 weeks to complete, and guess what? Yes, they billed me another month (with no service). All in all I paid for about 6 months of service and received none. When I called again to get some answers and the customer service guy pretended he could not hear me and would not answer my questions until I purposely whispered and called him a name, he spoke up and said What did you call me?
1and1.com is diry, very unethical business practices.
