Alumni Research sold me a CD containing information on all students who have attended my high school.
The CD requires a password to install the program on the computer hard drive. I was assured that I could get a password whenever I needed one (new computer, hard drive failure, etc.)
Recently, I was denied a password because "The contract with the school has expired". It was never revealed that a current contract (read: pay more money) was required to receive a needed password.
I was told that if I got the Principal of the school to authorize the release of information, on school letterhead, Alumni Research would "Be happy to give me another password". However, the School District archivist has informed me that Principals do not have authority to release any information on students.
When Alumni Research was advised of this fact, they ignored my communication.
The business ethics of Alumni Research stink. I advise not doing business with them.
