Fraudulant sellers of USB Flash Drives - Paid for 32GB got 1GB misleading company do not trust them! Guangdong

I like many other people have ordered 32GB USB Flash drives which have been delivered and turned out to be complete rubbish not worth a fraction of the purchase price.

I originally purchased 5 32GB USB Flash drives from a seller on Ebay. Everything seemed ok until I tried to use the drives, this was what happened.

1.information was copied from the computer to the USB drive but when the drive was unplugged the data was gone from the drive.

2. The computer locked up when trying to access the drive

3. The drive build quality was poor

4. After little use the drive was no longer detected by the computer

I contacted the Ebay seller who gave me the Manufacturers details AGL International.

See my website http://www.agl-international.com send me an email if you too have been misled and robbed.

I contacted AGL International to see what the process was to exchange the drives for new ones, eventually after several emails I was given an address to send the drives to. All was well I sent the drives recorded delivery. After further emails I was advised that they would replace the 2 32GB drives I had sent back but I had to pay 50 dollars postage.

I was asked if I wanted to order more drives to absorb the 50 dollar cost, after having a think I thought if the drives were faulty and are being replaced I may as well order a few more and sell them on Ebay to get my money back. I ordered 20 32GB drives.

I was advised that the pro forma invoice that I had received and paid was the total cost of the drives and that there was no additional taxes or charges to be paid. Prior to DHL making delivery I was advised by them that I had to pay an additional 215 dollars, unless they would not deliver the drives. I contacted the sales person at AGL International who's comment was "thats unbelievable..." no other email of explanation was received even after I again contacted them to advise that I could send them the DHL invoice if they wanted proof of the additional charges. My email account went very quiet. No contact no support or assistance.

I then very excitedly started to experiment with the drives my first disappointment was that the 2 drives they had sent back to replace my faulty drives were 8GB drives instead of 32GB drives like I had sent to be repaired!

I then unpacked one of the new 32GB drives and started to transfer data to the drive to find that although Windows XP showed the drive as being just under 32GB formatted. As soon as I copied 2 files of just over 700MB the drive became corrupt. The files were not readable and the computer locked up and stopped responding.

I unpacked another drive incase to see if all the drives had the same problem and found the second drive to be exactly the same. As soon as I copied 2 x 700MB files to the drive the drive stopped responding and Windows XP showed the drive as being at FULL CAPACITY??? (How strange for a drive that should hold 32GB of data)

I understood that the maximum individual file that could be copied to the drives was 2GB but I was expecting to be able to put approx 16 x 2GB files on the drive. How wrong was I!!!

I then contacted AGL International giving them full details of my problems including screen prints of the 2 files that I had copied and an image showing the drive details in Windows XP being at full capacity. I also sent them a file showing that the drive structure was completely corrupt as shown in a Windows XP utility CHKDSK.

I heard nothing! Then sent the email to another address I came across still nothing. I did a search in Google like follows "AGL International" fraud and I came across other people who had experienced the same problems.

Do not do business with this company you will loose money and never get your money back, and you can not rely on what their web site says or what the people at the comany say!

I then did some digging in Ebay and found the following information:

Ebay Fake USB Drive Info.:

More than 95% of all 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB USB Flash Drives listed on eBay are counterfeit items and have fake & overstated capacities. All 32GB USB Flash Drives are FAKE
