Before I ever buy from"O", I warn EVERYONE... You MUST read the buyer reviews BEFORE hitting that FINALALIZE button!!! You must remember this valuable lesson!!! If there is no review"DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM"!!!"O"'s customer service and return policies will take all your free time away for the next three months... Every waking moment will be consumed by the headaches of "O"! I have probably had 6 purchases from this company, 3 of the orders, I read the reviews and the customers were right on target! Everything that they loved... I love too. There were 2 orders inbetween time... Both needed to be returned (one item inparticular) I ordered ^ of them for my daughters friends for Christmas on DEC. 5th, I was told it was shipped. I got the order 4 days after Christmas. That was about a month of fighting for a refund... The full amount without the restocking fees and whatever else.#5-another return problem, 25 chat sessions later, that was resolved. This last time, I ordered a $200. GC for my brother in-law-for his Cape Cod home. I did online. I told my "B-I-L" you will love the products, but READ THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS before you but anything and you will love their products! Because "nothing can be returned without giving your soul to "o"! 2 seconds after hitting that "finalize", I saw that they ignored my request for sending the GC to me instead of my "BIL"... I pressed "C.S. CHAT instantly! My response was "sorry mam, that order has already been processed"no can do!", supervisor "PETER" told me the same thing... in this day and age, they cannot go into their computer and correct a shipping address 1 min. After an order was finalized... I told them, I wanted the order cancelled..."no we can't do that either, once an order was "processed"... That horrible word.
I never got an email or call from "O". And 1 week later after I bought a gift for my "B-I-L", (because I had all intentions of returning the GC once, I recieved it) my "B-I-L" called to thank me for the GC. One week later my "B-I-L" called to tell me that he misplaced the GC!!! Oh, NO... I would have to deal with the DEVIL again!!! MANY, MANY calls, chats, emails, searching time to find a real person phone #, promises from JOHN L. And a sup. Named ARACELI... 3 weeks from starting this process. Still nothing... I work full time, I have a family and I have a social life. I do not have time in my days alive or my blood pressure to ever deal with OVERSTOCK.com! To be fair to "O"... I must tell you that they offered me a $25. GC to be used on my next purchase... I ran down the block screaming! I have had nightmares ever since declining on that offer and removing myself from their mailing list... LISTEN CAREFULLY WHEN I SAY ONLY BUY ON OVERSTOCK WHEN EVERY REVIEW OF THE PRODUCT IS ALL WONDERFUL REVIEWS!!! Or be willing to give up all your free time for the next month!
