Amazon Cheats sellers and takes maney with no explanation from sellers

Amazon.com is a productie avenue for small business owners to gain access to millions of buyers across the globe. A small retail center can post items on Amazon and compete with large box stores and really increase their inventory turns. The only problem is Amazon is running their company like a division of Hitlers army. They have strange rules that they tell you you are breaking and with no explanation or reason tellyou that your funds that they collect from the customers has been held until further notice. As a small business owner that cash flow is extremely important to continuing to fund inventory and keep that valuable business coming in. Now Amazon charges around 20% of the sale for a fee and business owners are happy to to pay it because it is a profitable avenue for moving inventory. Amazon holds payments sometime for 30 days while they collect interest. Without any reason they just say poor seller performance or below their standards they place your account on hold and do not tell you why.

In a 4 month period I sold and shipped a few thousand items through their system. We received very favorable feedback through their system and had a 97% positive feedback rating and we were quite proud considering that it is almost impossible to please everyone. Without warning they placed my account on hold cancelled all of ly listed items and said thanks for using amazon but due to your poor selling performance in the past month you have been banned from selling on amazon.in the past 45 days we have received 1 complaint and 100's or praise and have a 99% positive rating. When I ask them what we have done they just respod that our ustomers are unhappy and that reflects upon Amazon in a negative way and we were not allowed to sell on Amazon. Within the same hour we recieved an email that read as follows

We write today to let you know how we rate your performance to date relative to those guidelines.

- Selling 60 days before 11/19: Yes
- Shipped more than 25 orders, lifetime: Yes
- 90 Day negative feedback rate 5% or less: Yes (Actual feedback rate: 4.63 %)
- At least 5 feedback ratings received in the last 90 days: Yes (Number feedback received: 108)
- Less than 0.5% seller fault claim rate: Yes (Actual seller fault claim rate: 0.14 %)

Based upon your performance to date, you are on track to meet the Holiday Selling Guidelines criteria for the Toys & Games category. We appreciate your commitment to providing a high-quality customer experience.

Now this seems to be a direct contridiction to their other emails stating that we are not performing up to their standards. Because of this I will end up letting 2 employees go, I have 200,000 in inventory that I don;t have any other avenue currently to sell and they have over 6,000 USD of my money that they wil lnot release for 90 days. They sent me this email just 5 minutes before the mail that we received telling us how well we are doing and thankng us for selling on Amazon.

We feel that AmAZON does this on purpose and they are trying to hurt small business and will end up costing my small business hundreds of thousands in sales. We feel that since I sell alot of the same items that Amazon also sells and stocks that they are creating a monopoly and attempting to keep smaller sellers from profiting on their site. Stay away if you are a seller... AMAZON will ruin your life!
