I had a similar experience to Carolyn from Crossville, Tennessee.
I received my Visa statement yesterday, & discovered a $10.00 charge from WLI*Reservationrewards. I didn't know this company. I called to cancel the service (I don't even know what service they offer). I was told there was another $10.00 fee charged thru Aug 20th, but they would cancel my service.
Today I received an email from them, with my visa #, my email address, AND my password on it confirming cancellation. Where did they get this info? Very scary!
I called my bank to cancel my visa card and also to refute the charges.
I do occasionally shop the internet & Ebay. And I recently looked up some travel sites.
I'm now considering changing my email address and pasword. This is as close to identity theft as I want get.
