Through a web site known as Your Top Brands I entered into a sweepstakes, believing what I had agreed to would only happen. After a financial problem arose, I contacted each company to cancel each account before the trial period ended. I was told the accounts were cancelled and no funds would be drafted from my husbands account.
The following week, each company had drafted a total of $80.68 to my husband's visa/checking account causing an overdraft on the account. When I contacted each company they denied that I had contacted them, telling me I never called to cancel. They stated because they had no customer service representative notes on my account therefore I never called.
This was convenient for them to not cancel the accounts and to not make notes on the account that I had called. Even when a supervisor stated he had found a call on the date that I said I had called as being block he still refused to acknowledge that I had called. "I guess I can see through the phone and read his records so I knew that there was a blocked call on that day and time". Not a chance that was my call, because I have a block on my telephone number, and when I called them to ask to have the account cancelled I was told it was, but they didn't complete the transaction nor did they make notes in the account to their advantage.
Now saying I didn't cancel before the trial period ended so therefore they had the right to charge my husband account, even when he stated they did not have authorization.
This company is associated with another company, which is a software company that sends out free software for the cost of shipping only. However, they use different distribution centers within 10 miles of each other to make it look like they are different companies. Be warned to not try and win anything through "Your Top Brands" web sites and don't except anything from this company they will do what ever it takes to charge your checking or credit card the amount of $80.68 or more; denying that you cancelled during the trial period. Good luck if you do; they are Scammers.
