Rude Customer Service and Rip-Offs Abound

I do hair extensions for a living, and was interested in trying out a glue for those clients of mine that have lost hair due to bad hair extension installations in the past.in my search for a glue that bonds hair to scalp without damaging further, I came across a particular website for a company called Hair Dynamics.

I was very intrigued by one of the glues that they sold, which I will not name because it is not the fault of the glue company that these distributors are giving consumers false information to make a quick buck. The glue stated that it could bond skin to hair and hold for 3 to 6 weeks.

I called Hair Dynamics up, wanting to speak to someone about this glue and its possibilities of being used for hair extensions. They assured me that the glue would work for this purpose, and were very friendly about it. I then decided to order the glue, at a cost of 29.95. I then asked about shipping, and they only offered priority shipping at a cost of 14.95, so the total amounted to $44.90. They told me that if they had any problems with my credit card, they would call me.

I figured that Priority shipping would only take about 2-3 business days. A week later, when I still didn't have the glue, and I still didn't hear from Hair Dynamics, I called them up again.

"Yes, there was an error processing your order" they told me. But why wasn't I called? I asked. They simply informed me that they thought that they got so many fraudulent calls and orders that they didn't bother giving me a call back to inform me that there was a problem with my card. Since I had to wait a week, I had to do the hair extension install for a particular client with a different glue while I waited for them to process my card yet again. This time, they promised me, they would call me if there was a problem.

Luckily there wasn't an issue with the processing of my card the second time around. The glue arrived a mere two days later, but since I didn't have any use for it just then, I decided I would wait a couple days until another client needed it before using it.

When I used the glue for the first time, I followed directions. The glue simply was not drying, even a day later it remained wet. The hair was not bonding correctly to the skin. The glue was simply not made to be used for hair extensions, and shouldn't have been, contrary to what the salesperson had told me in the effort to sell this product.

When I called the salesperson up this morning at Hair Dynamics, I told them that I was very unhappy with the product and that I would be sending it back since only a tiny amount of it was used (just a dot on the end of the finger since it went a long way). They were extremely rude about it on the phone, stating that I took up too much of their time (I had only called them three times over two weeks), and that they would not help out because they "Bend over backward" to help out every customer already. I was extremely aghast at how rude the person was on the phone, the very person who I ordered from. I can understand how a company would not want to sell someone else a used product, but I can't understand how rude this person was about it. They simply should've stated procedures and not been so rude about the whole ordeal.

I want everyone to know that Hair Dynamics will try to sell you something that is not appropriate in order to make a quick buck, but when you realize that the product is wrong for the job, then you've suddenly "taking up too much of their time" and can forget about a refund. There are many other more polite companies to deal with, that even if they can't offer you a refund, at least they give a damn about customer satisfaction.
