Billed paypal even after being canceled for a yea

Last year, I forgot to cancel my reunion.com account and I was billed. No big deal, that was my fault. So I cancel it and now, a year later, I have been billed again. I went to the reunion.com website to be sure that I had in fact canceled the recurring billing and yes, it was canceled.

I contacted reunion.com where I received the following reply:
Thank you for your email.

We've experienced some difficulty with our email exchange server and inadvertently lost emails sent within the last 30-days. If this is a repeat attempt at contacting us we now have the email and we will respond to it as quickly as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Regards;
Customer Service

I was then given an 888 number to call. I am stationed in Germany (9 hour time difference) and have some more pressing issues right now so its not the easiest thing to do.

I then contacted PayPal and initiated a dispute. 11 1/2 hours later, I got this:
Dear Randy,

We have completed our investigation of your claim and have determined that this is not an instance of unauthorized account activity. At this time, your claim has been denied. Through careful research, it has been determined that the correct course of action would be to cancel the active subscription on your account. If you wish to cancel the subscription associated with your PayPal account, you may do so by following the instructions below:

To cancel an Active Subscription:
1. Log in to your account at https://www.paypal.com / 2. Click History subtab.
3. Choose the Subscriptions field from the Show drop-down menu.
4. Check the From box and change date back 2 years.
5. Click Search.
6. To view the details of a specific Subscription Creation, click Details in the Details column.
7. At the bottom of this page, click Cancel Subscription.
8. On the confirmation page, click Cancel Subscription again..
If your subscription is a non-recurring subscription, you will see your
Subscription Completion already posted and no future payments will be deducted from your PayPal account.

If you need a refund from your subscription, please contact the seller of the Subscription. You can also file a buyer complaint if needed.

Other items to note regarding subscription payments:

- When viewing your subscription details, make sure you are clicking on the
transaction that is titled "Subscription Creation" and not a payment transaction.
- The scheduled payment will need to be canceled at least one day prior to the scheduled date of the next payment.
- Canceling a Subscription on the day of a scheduled payment will not guarantee the payment will not be sent.

Note the cancelation procedures listed above. Those are flat out wrong. I have no recurring subscriptions at all. The only way reunion.com says to cancel is through their own website, which I did last year.

Yeah, it's only $36, but its mine and I went through the proper procedures to have it canceled last year. Also, PayPal was less than helpful, and dont even try to talk to a human on their end, that aint gonna happen. Everything is automated.
