I shipped my Seagate hard drive to LC technologies (Ron Gomez, salesperson) requesting a full forensic examination. After they charged me $250 they explained that after a "full" investigation, there was nothing that they could do.
Desperate, I contacted a local firm who within the first 20 minutes found two problems (Hard Drive Assembly & firmware corruption) and are able to fully recover the data. I was told that any technician should have been able to find one if not both of these problems. I called to try and get a refund with their customer-no-service department.
No luck there - they obviously get many of these types of calls because both the salesperson and the customer service rep have a standard script. What a waste of space these people are.
