Billing Dishonest Bank Caaount Fraud Multiple Calls waste of time withdrawing unauthorized money

I cancelled my AOL account early April due to unauthorized charges made on my checking account. I have called and wasted countless hours talking to representatives in various departments to not only stop charging my account, but to refund the charges that were already made.

When I spoke with a representative on 4/17/07, I was repeatedly assured that I would not be charged again, and furthermore, it was an error on AOLs end. He told me that in March, my plan was switched from unlimited dial-;[-up for $9.95 to 10 hours of dial-up for the same price without my knowledge. He apologized for the misunderstanding and I was satisfied that the issue was resolved. I also went to my bank and ordered a stop payment for those charges.

I called back a few days later in order to get a confirmation letter stating that the issue was resolved for personal assurance. I was told by this representative that the letter would reach me in 5-10 business days. Needless to say, I have not received that letter.

You can imagine my surprise in opening my online banking account to see another $100.00 charge on my account on 4/30/07. I called customer service and immediately requested to speak with a supervisor. I was able to speak with Addie, the supervisor for the billing department at 12:43am. He assured me that the issue was resolved and that all of the charges incurred as a result would be paid for by AOL. I have been a customer for years, starting with my mother being an account holder. I expected this issue to be taken care of when I called and filed a complaint.

Now, almost a month later, I am spending countless time attempting to resolve this issue. The following pages are my bank statements with the charges highlighted. The total amount is $ 175.00. I would also like to take this opportunity to request that my account information be removed from my account.

I spoke with another supervisor on 6/8/07 who informed me that my claim was denied because the charges were valid. I was told that I tried to get high speed internet with another company and that changed my rate plan. This really upsets me because I think they are using spyware on my computer to see what I'm doing. They were able to tell what company that I was trying to use. I wasn't able to install it because the AOL software blocked the installation software. I am now taking steps to turn this over to my lawer.
