Major houston ISP, everyones internet (ev1.net) provided dial up internet access that included webspace. Recently they sold the accounts to People PC online. However, it was never communicated that people pc would not provide webspace, and that everything existing would be deleted. (email, everything else was transitioned seamlessly). Now there are many outraged customers who have lost everything they had without warning.
Personally I had an account since 1997 and stored all important documents there for the last 10 years.including resume's, offer letters, tax returns, unrecoverable pictures. Etc.
PeoplePc told me it was ev1.net's job to communicate the change, but they have been overwhelmed with calls that this did not happen. Everyones internet merged with The Planet, and now just provides web hosting. I wonder what the potential is for a class action lawsuit.
