This took place in December at the Best Buy in Overland Park, KS. I highly recommend avoiding the Best Buy Geek Squad.
I took my desktop computer in because I couldn't defrag the hard drive and it kept crashing whenever I used Internet Explorer.
The Geek Squad guy who examined my computer said that I had Trojans and viruses even though I had Norton and Spyware Stormer. He said it would cost $129.
When I came in to pick up the computer, I had to sign that it worked properly. I was not given a chance to try it out.
So I brought it home and I couldn't defrag the hard drive and it kept crashing whenever I went on the internet. So, I had to hire a private party and spend another $125 to get it fixed properly.
So here's my advice to anyone with computer problems: Support a small business and find a privately owned repair shop. You will be sorry if you use the Best Buy Geek Squad.
