This morning i looked at my checking account online and discovered that i had been charged $159.95mething that i know i hadn't authorized. I called my bank and they gave me the information for contacting the company that charged my account. It EDP Reporting.
I called the 800 number and waited almost 20 minutes before someone picked up. I was told that there four attempts to process an application for a pre paid debit card using my checking account information and two of the attempts where finally successful. Thank god i have a bank who cares about its customers because they gave me a refund for the charges ad i closed that account.
Whats really shady about the whole situation is that this company had all of my personal information all the way down to my mothers maiden name. How they are getting my information is a mystery to me.
The guy i spoke to with this company told me that they would send me some sort fraud reporting document to fill out and to call the police and put the case number from the police report on the form. Anote for anyone whos been scammed by this company... Dont wait for them. Call the police immediately and close your checking account.
