Tigerdirect used to be a quality company, but all that has changed in the last year. They use OnRebate.com exclusively for their rebates. At first the rebates came in a reasonable amount of time but as of this writing 12-19-06. I am still waiting on 2 rebates from May, 1 rebate from June, 5 rebates from July, 1 from September (all of these rebates have been accepted and approved). After that I stopped purchasing from them. There is no legitimate excuse for such incompetence as a matter of fact I don't think its incompetence at all, it's a RIPOFF!
I will no longer make purchases from any company that has a rebate from OnRebate. I was shopping at another online store when I saw something I like with a rebate. I looked up the rebate form and it was from OnRebate, needless to say I did not make that purchase. I don't care how good a deal it is a rebate that is not paid is worthless.
I read in one of these reports where the author was going to contact the Federal Trade Commission, that may be a plan for myself as well.
